According to BlockBeats, bitland has cancelled its texas-based partnership with DMG mines after failing to achieve "cost and operational efficiency".
Vancouver-based blockchain company DMG made the announcement Monday. The two sides decided to terminate the current agreement, the company said. The Canadian company cited a failure to achieve "cost and operational efficiency" as the reason for ending the partnership, but said the two sides would continue to explore other opportunities.
Bitland launched its Texas mine in October 2019. BlockBeats previously reported that bitmainland claimed the new mine would be "the largest bitcoin mine in the world". They expect to generate more than 300 megawatts of electricity in the future. It is unclear whether the facilities at the mine are still operating, and if so, will bitland hire a new operator for its Texas mines or manage the equipment itself? 'bitland is scaling back its global operations,' said a former bitland employee, who asked not to be named.
Although the cooperation at the mine has been suspended, bitland and DMG continue to cooperate in other overseas mines.
