Adam Jicha, a YouTube blogger, recently tweeted for help that his YouTube channel, which has more than 310,000 subscribers, had been hacked and all videos removed from the channel. His screen name "Wellden" had been removed from the channel and replaced with an image of zhao changpeng, chief executive of coon, Decrypt reported. On the hacked account, the new live stream read: "coon live: interview coon CEO, free BTC".
The author of the video is understood to have promised to airdrop 5,000 bitcoins to users, inducing them to send cryptocurrency to an address and promising to return more in return. In addition, several YouTube bloggers' channels have been hacked and cryptocurrency-related frauds have been conducted in the name of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse. At present, there are still hacked channels playing relevant videos.
