Piggycell has announced that it has completed an additional funding round of approximately $4 million with Double A Investment leading and NexStox | NXMarket participating. This funding round is interpreted as a reassessment and recognition by the investment market of Piggycell's core focus on "user protection" in its recovery execution post-security incident and the sustainable platform value based on real-world usage.
Following a recent security incident, Piggycell has prioritized normalizing its tokenomics and establishing user protection as its topmost priority, and has confirmed a new token issuance and a 1:1 Swap migration plan. The team stated, "To minimize confusion and secondary loss for existing holders to the fullest extent, we will align the Swap and resumption timing of major exchanges, including Binance, to the same moment and further enhance the execution plan based on this. The Swap will be pushed forward based on the announced snapshot standard: on-chain holders will receive a 1:1 airdrop in the same wallet based on the snapshot, while exchange holders will follow the respective exchange's announced process for completion."
Another key aspect of this recovery plan is the strengthening of operations and security controls. Piggycell has mentioned that it will further enhance permission structures and operational control mechanisms during the new token distribution process and conduct operational checks through partnerships with exchanges including Binance to reconstruct the architecture to mitigate reoccurrence risks. The team emphasizes that, especially through the mentioned alignment and collaboration, the main focus will be on minimizing market confusion and price discontinuities at the execution timing as much as possible. It is worth noting that trading of Piggycell's new token is expected to resume on Binance Alpha, KuCoin, Gate, and MEXC successively.
The funding will be used for:
△ Security capability enhancement (audits, monitoring, permission control reinforcement)
△ Recovery execution and operational stabilization
△ Product/ecosystem expansion, providing execution resources for the growth phase post-recovery.
Piggycell stated, "This funding round is not only a 'reboot after the event,' but also a signal that—after crossing the risk, the platform's value and execution power as a real-world usage-based infrastructure/application have been validated."
Those involved with Double A Investment stated, "Piggycell possesses an infrastructure and platform model based on real-world usage, and throughout the post-incident response process, it has continuously focused on user protection, gradually building a recovery system centered on execution, which is highly commendable."
The Piggycell team supplement stated: "We are back on track and now is the real beginning." and indicated that they will continue to advance RWA expansion and further upgrade real-world usage-based utility on the basis of "verifiable on-chain activity and long-term execution capability." As the transaction channels gradually recover and the recovery plan enters the implementation phase, market attention to its subsequent growth path and ecosystem expansion pace is also continuously heating up.
