Looking ahead to the future of Yuga Labs, we need to operate in a more "crypto-native" way across the entire company.

On February 22nd Beijing time, Yuga Labs, which has recently been controversial, has undergone a major personnel change - co-founder Garga.eth (Greg Solano) announced that he will resume the position of CEO of Yuga Labs.

Upon regaining control of Yuga Labs (see "Yuga Labs continues to acquire, native NFT 'Bored Ape' blue chip leader position is challenged"), Garga.eth published an open letter on X platform, outlining the development plans for Yuga Labs as a whole, as well as for individual entities such as BAYC, Otherside, and game development.

I will once again serve as the CEO of Yuga Labs.

Wylie (another co-founder of Yuga Labs, commonly known as GordonGoner) and I are very grateful for the contributions Daniel (former CEO Daniel Alegre of Garga.eth) has made to Yuga Labs, and we also appreciate the guidance he has given us over the past year. I am excited to be able to steer the company towards a new chapter once again.

Looking ahead to the future of Yuga Labs, we need to operate in a more "crypto-native" way across the entire company. Wylie and I believe that a few things are of utmost importance:

The first thing is about the development of BAYC.

Thank you for participating in the first Bored Meeting last weekend. In short, our view on BAYC is that its value lies in its online community. This is why ApeFest is so special, why Made by Apes' works have quickly become popular, why the club itself is so popular, and why BAYC is able to collaborate with some of the world's top brands.

Within Yuga Labs, we aim to give the BAYC team as much freedom as possible to pursue their vision. This requires a more focused attention and a more flexible operational space, so that they can achieve all of the above and create even more amazing things than we have done before.

Focus and flexibility require autonomy, and we have taken the first step towards this - BAYC LLC will be established as a subsidiary of Yuga Labs, responsible for all matters related to BAYC. The BAYC team already has a group of outstanding members, but there are still some key positions waiting for the right candidates.

The second matter concerns the development of Otherside.

In our vision, Otherside should become the "living room" of Web3, a default space for play and socializing (regardless of which community you belong to).

Otherside is a brave attempt, and we still have a lot of work to do. Only by more frequent participation and experience can we build it better together. When we build Otherside, our vision is to keep it open and continuously iterate. I have confidence in the work the team has done to return to this plan, and we will strengthen community communication starting this week, starting with the Apes Come Home event. In the next year, we will also increase the frequency of communication with the community.

The third thing is about game development.

We need to focus more on game modes that are effective for Yuga Labs. For us, we need to adopt the following two strategies:

· One is to create crazy and interesting gameplay, so that all people with a childlike heart can enjoy the game. The crazier and more popular, the better, just like Dookey Dash. We want to open channels to allow millions of new users to enter our ecosystem and create opportunities for creators, IP holders, and professional players. I am pleased to witness progress in this area with our partner Faraway (a game development studio).

· Secondly, building "crypto-native" game mechanics and platforms, such as [redacted] (a confidential game mentioned in the BAYC roadmap).

Since the establishment of Yuga Labs, we have gone through three years of time, and we are extremely excited about the many upcoming plans. I am very grateful to every member of every brand team here. We still have a lot of work to do, and without this team and the builders in this community, we cannot achieve our vision.
