Taraxa Protocol Foundation has launched a $10 million Grant program aimed at promoting the growth of Taraxa's unique EVM-compatible blockDAG Layer-1 ecosystem.
Taraxa Grant program is open to all individuals, teams, and organizations. The funds will be dedicated to technical development, with a focus on driving the adoption and growth of the Taraxa ecosystem, and disbursed based on measurable milestone nodes.
Building applications on Taraxa provides a unique opportunity for developers. They can experience the advantages of using the world's first and only decentralized network built on a blockDAG architecture that is compatible with the local EVM. The following are the advantages of developing on Taraxa:
Unique network performance built on blockDAG: blockDAG is the next evolutionary direction of blockchain, which can achieve high throughput and low latency without compromising security and decentralization. This feature is achieved by parallel processing of blocks on the network, rather than processing one block at a time.
True EVM compatibility: All DApps running on Ethereum can run on Taraxa without the need to learn new languages, frameworks, or tools.
Fast and low-cost: With a peak throughput of 5000 TPS, sub-second block time, instant block inclusion, and finality in less than 4 seconds, running applications on Taraxa is fast and smooth, with transaction costs almost zero.
The true finality: there is no risk of transactions being revoked, Taraxa's true finality ensures that once a transaction is confirmed, it will be permanently finalized.
To prevent front-running trades: Taraxa's architecture, speed minimization, and network memory pool segmentation make it almost impossible and unprofitable to front-run DeFi trades.
Community Support: Taraxa community is active and the development team is willing to help with application development. Developers can not only enjoy the network features, but also receive support, attention, and participation from the Taraxa community.
The Ficus Root Bridge, which is set to launch in mid-2024, will further enhance the practicality, asset diversity, and cross-chain liquidity of the Taraxa ecosystem. DeFi builders need not worry about asset or liquidity fragmentation, as assets can flow smoothly between Ethereum and Taraxa. With high asset liquidity, coupled with Taraxa's fast operation, low cost, and native EVM compatibility, Taraxa can become a consensus layer solution for DApps' Layer 2 or Rollups.
Taraxa Grant application is now open to developers, who can propose their ideas on how to utilize network features to solve problems.
Taraxa was founded in 2018 by two engineers from Stanford University. It is an EVM-compatible smart contract platform based on t-Graph consensus, and utilizes blockDAG with many world-first technological innovations built on top of the blockDAG architecture. After the launch of its mainnet in 2023, Taraxa represents the next evolutionary direction for decentralized networks.
