Following the feud between the founder of Nostr and Nostrasset, the RGB20 asset issuance and trading platform BitRGB in the RGB protocol ecosystem has been embroiled in controversy, triggering a melee among projects that compete with each other on the RGB protocol.
On December 23rd, BitMask (@BitMask_App) publicly commented on BitRGB's tweet (@BitRGBGlobal) on social media, stating "scammer". This move made BitRGB the focus of attention in the cryptocurrency community.

BitRGB announced for the first time in the evening that "it has communicated with BitMask officials, and the other party only has questions about the technical implementation plan. The misunderstandings between the two parties have been resolved." BitRGB announcement tweet link: https://x.com/BitRGBGlobal/status/1738475375775408407?s=20

One wave subsides, and another rises. On December 25th, a screenshot of the official RGB Telegram group was circulated in the BitRGB official Discord community. RGB founder Maxsim Orlovsy claimed that the BitRGB project is a scam.

Once this screenshot was leaked, the community was in an uproar.
On the 27th, amidst a strong public outcry, BitRGB issued another statement officially clarifying the BitMask incident, the Maxim incident, and the debates within the RGB protocol community. They also made their technical solutions and roadmap public. The link to the second announcement can be found here: https://x.com/BitRGBGlobal/status/1740015000553664517?s=20.
On the 28th, BitRGB founder Bruce personally clarified four key points in his statement.
First of all, Bruce clearly stated that Bitmask's comments are malicious competition, and its developed DIBA and BitRGB are products of the same type. He urged users not to be misled by malicious competition. Secondly, he responded strongly to Maxsim's comments in the official RGB group, stating that "many MeMecoin water armies on the RGB protocol have been found in the RGB community. This memecoin and its community members have never stopped smearing us and ultimately misled the founder of the RGB protocol, @dr_orlovsky, to make incorrect statements."
Memecoin's water army claimed in the official RGB group that RGBS is the token issued by the RGB protocol, which led to Maxsim making a wrong comment.
Bruce reiterated that the main technical solution for BitRGB's platform is "an asset custody solution that generates event IDs through the Nostr protocol and confirms them through wallet signatures for ease of purchase and trading." At the same time, "once the functionality of the RGB smart contract is stable, BitRGB will fully implement this solution in the market and does not want any malicious competitors to have any misunderstandings about BitRGB's technical implementation." Bruce stated that "this point has been repeated multiple times in previous statements and he is tired of it."
Finally, Brown also mentioned that they have established contact with the RGB Protocol team and are continuing to promote their partnership. "The BitRGB platform has built a community of 50,000 users, becoming the world's largest RGB user community, committed to helping more cryptocurrency users understand and embrace the RGB protocol," Brown said. "BitRGB is just an asset management platform, and we have never claimed that RGBS is the token of the RGB protocol. As the RGB protocol is still in its early stages, we advocate for mutual support and collaboration among developers to promote the advantages and value of the protocol. This will encourage more users to participate in the development of the RGB ecosystem."
RGB's ecological melee is dazzling, but it has great market potential. Ordinals claimed that ordi was a scam and urged Binance to delist it, but its market value exceeded $800 million. The founder of Nostr protocol claimed that nostrasset was a scam, but the market value of its Double T token exceeded $100 million. In the early stages of the ecosystem, there were frequent fud voices, but valuable projects would focus on development and grow rapidly.
