2.Polygon zkEVM

Polygon poured resources into teams such as Hermez and Zero to develop a type 2 zk-EVM equivalent. The goal is to make it as easy for developers to build on Polygon zkEVM as it is on Ethereum L1.

3.Starknet

It is incompatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which frees it from the limitations of EVM functionality. Instead, it built and used its own technology, Cairo. It also has its own zero-knowledge (ZK) algorithm, ZK-Stark, based on Zk-Snark. This provides advantages such as zero trust Settings and excellent ZK performance.

4. Taiko

Taiko is Type 1 zkEVM, which makes it identical to ETH. It prioritizes EVM compatibility and zkR decentralization over proof generation, and is also part of the loopring.

5.Zksync

Type 4 zkEVM. Developers wrote code in Solidity and then converted it to Yul (converting high-level language code into low-level language code). The LLVM (low-level virtual machine) then compiles the Yul into ZK bytecode, which is executed via zkVM.
