doodles 于上周刚公布了接下来的规划，比较有趣的是可组合自定义 NFT，之前也和大家交流过，我认为 NFT 赛道的技术演进有三个：纯链、可编程与和可组合，这三个结合起来将极大提升 NFT 的互操作性。
今天先和大家聊聊可组合这个方向的现状，未来和挑战。
We all know that NFT is mostly small static graphics, so it's hard to get the gameplay and utility out of it, so I haven't written about NFT in a while, and I haven't seen anything new coming out of it. Fun is to attract people in, useful is to keep people in, so doodles play fun and playability by combos I think is a good way to break the circle easily and will also bring some fresh air to the industry.
其实可组合性是 NFT 一条比较明确的演进路径，原因有
1. 刚才说到的 NFT 静态小图片问题，动态自然应该要成为一个趋势
2.NFT 作为社交名片放在头像上，类比 QQ 秀也能穿衣戴帽，刻舟求剑动态也应该是一个趋势
看起来这种推演方式很粗暴且懒，但是大道至简很多趋势就是这样具有肉眼确定性的。
其实之前已经出现一些可组合具备互操作性 NFT 的 EIP 如 998 和 3664，以及包括波卡的 RMRK 重点发力在这个方向，可组合 NFT 行业普遍共识认为将会爆发在游戏领域，如人物的装备、坐骑等，但实际上若想真正应用难度更大，因为在游戏领域的可组合性之下还包括了可升级性、可消耗性等复杂场景。
Let's take doodles as an example. According to its description, the desired effect is to customize skin color, accessories, etc. In fact, it is to customize the properties of the current PFP. As shown in the figure below, the picture of the NFT presentation layer has multiple corresponding properties that cannot be split and are preset in advance by the project side. Even if you think a certain pair of sunglasses is cool sometimes, you can only buy them in a package.
What we want to achieve is that each property can be split into its own NFT and combined, and we need to talk about the current implementation of NFT technology to help you understand it better.
The production process of a set of NFT is that the project party generates 10,000 pictures and corresponding 10,000 Json files to compose metadata, then uploads the metadata to the IPFS cloud storage, and finally writes the IPFS link into the baseURI of the contract.
每个 Json 文件的命名就是 123 数字，和 NFT 的 TokenID 可以对应上，比如我持有 doodles3179，则就去查询文件名为 3179 的 metadata，如下图所示，NFT 的名字、描述、图片链接、属性等。

If you want to split every attribute into an NFT and make it compotable, you first have to solve the problem of NFT indexing, creating a tree relationship for multiple NFT along the chain, because now each NFT is independent, which is a bit of a hassle. For each property to become an NFT as shown in the figure below, you need to create an index between them in the contract, which ERC721 does not have at all, so you need to create your own implementation.
The second is to solve the problem of dynamic images. As I said just now, all the pictures are dead pictures generated by the project side, so when I sell the sunglasses, I will first delete the index relationship with the NFT of the sunglasses, and also "remove" the sunglasses of the pictures. How to pick them is a problem. There are two operations:
1. Modify the file content.
2. Point to a new file
若存在 IPFS 的话，则文件内容无法修改，只能指向新文件，那就会遇到一个很难搞的事，刚说到项目方需要将 NFT 图片提前生成，如果每个属性都变成 NFT 且可组合，把所有排列组合全部穷举一遍并生成图片，这个量级极其大，还要再和索引对应上，或者是单独做个生成器随用随生成，doodles 大概率会选择这种。
The other way is to store it directly in a centralized storage such as AWS, which can be modified at any time. Many so-called "dynamic" NFT actually operate in this way. Although there is nothing wrong with it, it is not in line with web3 political correctness.
The last problem lies in the support of the trading market, which complies with the standards of 721 and 1155. However, if there is a nested combination between NFT, the compatibility needs to be supported by the trading market. If this direction is not developed to a certain size, the compatibility of the trading market alone is not cost-effective. Otherwise maybe doodles will have to build a set of doodles, which I am not sure how Doodles will handle.
