FTX's contribution per head is worth $200m, far more than that of its peers

近日，CB Insights 2021 年独角兽榜单出炉，加密货币交易平台 FTX 以 250 亿估值名列总榜第 12 位，金融科技（Fintech）类第 5 位。

此前据 The Information 报道，FTX 正寻求以 320 亿美元估值完成一轮 15 亿美元融资。同时，面向美国用户的 FTX US 也具有 80 亿美元估值。若将估值更新到 400 亿美元，FTX 将跻身全球独角兽公司前 5 位。

单独从市值角度看，并不能完全突出 FTX 的价值。我们可以从「公司人均价值」，即员工贡献价值这个数据来看 FTX 在所属 Fintech 领域的地位。

FTX 国际与 FTX US 估值共 400 亿美元，在 SBF 在加密听证会上的证词显示，FTX 大约有 200 名员工，所以 FTX 的「公司人均价值」约为 2 亿美元。

梳理其他在 CB Insights 前 35 大独角兽榜单中的 Fintech 公司：金融支付公司 Stripe，估值 950 亿美元，共有约 5000 名员工，人均价值 0.19 亿美元；在线金融公司 Klarna 估值 456 亿美元，共有约 5000 名员工，人均价值 0.09 亿美元；英国金融科技公司 Revolut 估值 330 亿美元，共有约 3000 名员工，人均价值 0.11 亿美元；拉美最大 Nubank 估值 300 亿美元，共有约 4000 名员工，人均价值 0.075 亿美元；移动支付公司 Chime 估值 250 亿美元，共有约 1000 名员工，人均价值 0.25 亿美元。相比之下，FTX 的「公司人均价值」远超同类型公司。

Compared with other firms that employ thousands of people, FTX has won a valuation of $40bn with a measly 200. In other words, each employee on the FTX team contributed $200 million in value. It's much more persuasive to focus on the value of individual employees than on the high valuation of unicorns.
