NEO Frontier Launchpad launches to accelerate N3 eco-innovation with developers

On May 21, 2021, NEO, the world's leading community driven blockchain development platform, officially launched the NEO Frontier Launchpad project. This is a multi-stage global hackathon designed to attract more developers to join the NEO ecosystem, develop N3 infrastructure, applications and services, and work together to accelerate the future of blockchain. During this period, the NEO team and the NEO community will participate in the whole process to help developers explore and experience the powerful features of N3 and innovate blockchain applications.

As the latest and most powerful version of NEO, N3 has three modules: decentralized storage, built-in predictor and decentralized identity, and provides developers with powerful features such as single-block finality, heterogeneous interoperability and multi-language support. NEO Frontier Launchpad is committed to NEO's device-centric vision, providing all the first movers to join the NEO N3 ecosystem on a fast track. Developers participating in Launchpad will be the first to experience the cutting-edge features of the N3 and will work with the NEO team to build the N3 ecosystem. The total prize money for this project is up to $100,000. Excellent project teams also receive direct N3 Early Adoption incentives and the opportunity for long-term incubation support.

The hackathon will be divided into two phases:

Planning Phase (May 24 -- June 7): In this phase, participants can organize a team and draft a comprehensive development plan in order to fully prepare for their Frontier project. During the planning phase, the NEO team will provide positive feedback to the participants, and the team that submitted the best plan will be given the chance to earn a "bonus factor" to augment their prize money in the second phase. For example, a team that wins a factor of 1.5 in the first stage and a bonus of $12,000 in the second stage will actually win a total bonus of $18,000. Participants can decide whether to participate in the planning phase.

Development (June 11 -- July 12): NEO Frontier Launchpad will enter development one week after the announcement of the results of the competition in the planning phase. This is the stage at which teams start building their projects. NEO will start with a series of quick start guides, application examples and tutorials for developers.
