Neo Global Development (NGD) Announces Upcoming New Hackathon and Support Program

Mission

In 2021, Neo released Neo N3, which is the latest and most powerful version of its blockchain development platform. To invite pioneering developers to develop on N3, NGD held a Frontier Launchpad Hackathon, and more than 700 people responded to the call. The winners shared more than $100,000 in prize money and $200,000 in post-competition ecological support funds.

This year, NGD will upgrade the event through Polaris Launchpad, which is a brand new hackathon and ecological incubation event. The Polaris Launchpad will offer a total prize pool of $500,000. NGD's $200 million EcoBoost program will also provide further funding opportunities to promote the continued success of the winning projects.

The Polaris Launchpad Hackathon will feature multiple development tracks. Together, these five tracks represent the next wave of decentralized applications that NGD hopes to foster within the Neo N3 ecosystem:

· Metaverse and NFT

· DAO

· Distributed Storage/Oracle Service Middleware

· Web 3 Universal Project

The Polaris Launchpad marks the next stage in Neo's evolution. The Neo ecosystem has built a solid foundation on the Neo N3 blockchain. Now, developers can look to the Polaris Launchpad as their entry point into this thriving ecosystem. Much like the Polaris has historically served as a guide for explorers, the Polaris Launchpad is designed to guide developers looking for opportunities to build on the Neo N3.

The Neo blockchain is powered by members of the Neo ecosystem. They will also play a key role in the Polaris Launchpad program. After the hackathon winner is announced, Neo will hold the Polaris Plus stage, which is a community voting round. During the community voting stage, Neo will match votes by calculating the quadratic average. This will allow the community to reward the projects they deem the most promising.

Polaris Launchpad contestants will have the hands-on help of Neo's global development community as they take their ideas to life. Formal and informal support opportunities will be available during the hackathon.

The Planathon Phase of the Hackathon will offer a range of planning and educational support. Developers can participate in a series of online panel discussions on DeFi, metaverse, NFT, infrastructure, DAO and other categories.

During the development phase, developers can get started quickly with the languages supported by Neo N3. Neo's multilingual support allows developers to build smart contracts in the language they know and love most. Demos will be available for C#, Python, Go, Java, and Typescript. Participants can also participate in in-depth seminars that introduce the full range of native features of Neo N3, including the NeoFS distributed storage platform and oracles.

Hackathon Community Kickoff
