On May 14 at 18:00, Benjamin Rameau, founder of the first Jenny Metaverse Dao on NFT splitting platform Unicly, sat down with RV AMA to talk about a new way to unlock NFT liquidity.
Jenny is a community-controlled Metaverse DAO that can distribute the NFT split series on the Unicly platform. By using Unicly, Jenny makes it possible for anyone to take ownership of their NFT. The DAO members have full control over Jenny, and token holders can vote on vault parameters, money management, and NFT multi-sign transactions.
It previously raised $7 million from Multicoin Capital, Ascensive Assets, Animoca Brands and Metapurse (Metapurse), which is owned by Metakovan.
The following is the content of the AMA:
Benjamin Rameau:I've been working on blockchain since 2016. In 2017, Hong Kong EOS Meetup was established. Joined Binance Lab in 2018 and joined Binance M&A team in 2019. In 2020, I started a crypto algorithm trading company, and in 2021, I created Jenny Metaverse DAO.
Benjamin Rameau:My co-founder is Jae Chung, and he's a genius. When I met him, he was in high school helping debug the EOS mainnet before it was released.
Our friendship is permanent and we are still good friends working together at Jenny Metaverse DAO. We are all very optimistic about the future of NFT. But that requires better infrastructure. Unicly is the best infrastructure we know of. So we create a UToken called Jenny Token on top of Unicly.
Benjamin Rameau:NFT today is like cryptocurrency in 2017. Back then, people had great ideas, but there was no infrastructure to support a $1 trillion market cap. But in 2020-2021, we have a mature hedging infrastructure that can aggregate pledges, loans and yields, which makes $3 trillion market cap possible.
NFT prices go up and down. But to achieve sustainable, large-scale price increases, we need infrastructure first. A country must first develop roads and Bridges before it can develop its economy.
Benjamin Rameau:We want this to be a community-driven project. NFT will be used in all sorts of use cases that I haven't even thought of yet. I was very excited to see what the community thought we should add to the vault. The community will make key decisions about how money is spent on NFT.
Benjamin Rameau:All of these platforms have game theory problems. NFTX works only if all NFTs are very similar, but in reality every NFT is different. NFT20 allows users to input cheap NFTs and output expensive NFTs, so quality degrades over time. Niftex can be controlled by whales, forcing NFT owners to sell at a lower price. Unicly solves all of these problems.
Benjamin Rameau:Jenny did not lock up positions, presale investors could also sell all their tokens, but 80% chose to hold them in the LP pool. Without a public sale, the liquidity event is 100% community-driven. I've never seen this happen on any other project. Our pre-sale investors are very optimistic about the long-term future of Jenny Dao.
Benjamin Rameau:Each Jenny Token holder becomes a member of the DAO. Users with more tokens will get more privileges, such as exclusive communication groups. There are some top organizations that are part of the DAO, such as Metakovan and Multicoin.
Benjamin Rameau:Unicly is a platform for artists to show their work. They should be their own UTokens and I hope they grow and grow. We can grow together. This is the spirit of blockchain!
Benjamin Rameau:Nexus invented insurance contracts for NFT transactions. Uniswap v3 uses NFT to represent LP positions. It's going to be a very exciting market
Benjamin Rameau:Some of our consultants are working with top NFT creators to provide exciting opportunities for the Jenny Metaverse DAO. These announcements will be made soon, and the DAO can choose to get these NFTs
Community Question 1: When does mobile mining start?
Benjamin Rameau:On May 18th
Benjamin Rameau:The UNIC token is a fair launch, there is no pre-sale token, but it will be available on Unicly soon.
Benjamin Rameau:I love uMASK, uPUNK and uJORDAN. Just follow us on Twitter
https://twitter.com/jennymetaverse?s=21
Benjamin Rameau:Normally, Mable does podcasts in Chinese. But for us, she did it in English. She's so nice!
Benjamin Rameau:There is a stamp called "The Inverted Jenny". They made the mistake of printing the plane upside down. Every collection is special, and some are special, just like the NFT. If I had a girlfriend, I would make her a NFT and never sell her to anyone.
