As the Doge craze gets underway, several companies have begun to advertise the token and even say they will accept it as a payment method. On April 20, online software retail giant Newegg tweeted that it was considering accepting Dogecoin as a payment option. The company began offering bitcoin payments in July 2014.
Snickers, meanwhile, tweeted a picture of a Shiba Inu with the caption "Dogecoin is on the rise" and hopes to make April 20 DogeDay.

The Snickers tweet was followed by a comment from the same company's other food brand, Milky Way.

The bullish sentiment on Dogecoin from both candy brands is not unreasonable. The price of Dogecoin has risen exponentially in recent weeks, seemingly driven by social media movers like Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. As of press time, Dogecoin is trading at $0.35, up more than 550% in the past 30 days, according to OKEx data.
