Today, I'm a jack-of-all-trades, working across stacks to make Orca your favorite project in Defi.

YM:Hi, I'm Yutaro, and I'm also an engineer and the other founder of Orca. After several years of painstakingly building databases at MongoDB, I went into encryption full-time in 2017. From contributing to ETH 2.0 to building smart contracts for UMA, I've touched every part of the Defi stack over the years. I'm incredibly excited to have the opportunity to build a core part of the Solana ecosystem.

Host: So what does Orca do?

Orca:Orca is the most user-friendly Dex on Solana. When you trade tokens on Orca, you will enjoy extremely fast speed and extremely low transaction fees. We also have handy features, such as our fair price indicator, which lets you easily know if your deal is the best in the market. In addition, users love our lovely collectible, which is a special token that you can earn by participating in the Orca ecosystem.

Host: How is Orca different from other Dex?

Orca:Orca is the only DEX platform on Solana that has a pure automated market maker function, as well as its own pool of liquidity. Compared to order-based switching, we believe the simplicity and composability of AMM makes it the best choice for the next generation of DEFI applications.

Host: Why did you choose to build Orca on Solana?

Orca:Among solutions competing for the scale of the blockchain ecosystem, Solana's performance stands out: 50,000 transactions per second, 400ms block time, and an average transaction fee as low as $0.01. But more importantly, we were amazed by the values, vision and engineering capabilities of the Solana team. We are proud to be a part of this vibrant ecosystem.

Host: What makes Orca unique?

Orca:The first is the team's deep understanding of Defi, a strong focus on the user experience, and the right values for the team. In a series of recent tweets, we summed up brands as professional, principled and fun. Host: What tokens can users exchange for ORCA?

Orca:Currently, SOL, ETH, BTC, USDC, USDT, RAY, FTT, KIN, and Rope can be exchanged. In the future, there are plans to support all Solana ecotokens that users want to trade. We'll be listing more popular tokens soon.

Host: What are your next plans?

Orca:We have exciting times ahead in the coming months! There are some major features in development, including Sunbridge (Wormhole's UI, a decentralized bridge from Ethereum to Solana), Stable Token Pool (efficient trading of stablecoins), and localization of UI.
