The Kyber Network, a decentralized trading protocol, announced on April 6 the launch of the DMM mainnet Beta, which aims to optimize fees and provide liquidity providers with extremely high capital efficiency. The Kyber DMM will be the first major protocol for the Kyber 3.0 Liquidity Center.
Kyber DMM relies on the "Dynamic Charging" and "Programmable Pricing Curve" capabilities to optimize fees, maximize returns to liquidity providers, reduce the impact of volatile losses and avoid third-party or centralized forecasters risk.
Victor Tran, chief technology officer of Kyber Network, said that in terms of dynamic charging, each liquidity pool will support dynamic charging instead of a fixed charging model.
"Kyber DMM will increase fees during periods of high market volatility and reduce fees during periods of low market volatility to encourage trading and volume," Tran told the block. "Overall, this optimizes potential returns for liquidity providers. This is similar to how professional market makers operate to maximize returns from trading."
According to Kyber Network, the DMM protocol is the first of many new liquidity protocols that will be introduced on Kyber 3.0.
