Foreign media: Venture capital firm A16Z has increased investment in the NFT field, and has invested in OpenSea and Talos

A16Z is participating in a round of funding for OpenSea that is expected to raise $20 million, according to a source familiar with the secretive venture capital firm. "Nice Try," an A16Z spokeswoman said in response to an emailed request for comment.

OpenSea is one of the projects that is riding the wind in the NFT ecosystem. This particular segment includes items that allow users to buy and exchange digital collectibles related to anything from sports to music.

A16Z is also leading a funding round for cryptocurrency trading firm Talos, according to a separate source. The round could reach about $30 million, with a pre-financing valuation of more than $100 million. The company does not plan to announce the financing for several weeks, so the terms of the deal could change. Talos' other investors include Autonomous Partners, Castle Island Ventures, and Coinbase Ventures.
