Rhythblockbeats, September 1, Ethereum 2.0 project leader Danny Ryan wrote about the current work. The recent situation is as follows:
1. Since Medalla's "clock Bug" appeared on August 14, the current progress is very smooth. There are currently 39,000 active validators, and 12,000 in the activation queue (32 ETH pledged, waiting to be activated);
2. Diversity of clients is very important. Although many Ethereum 2.0 customers are actively developing, the network is currently dominated by single client Prysm;
3. The client team is working hard to ensure that switching clients is easy and safe. With the addition of some cross-client standards, users can quickly switch from one client to another with short downtime and no risk of an unexpected outage;
4. One of the main goals now is to reach phase 1.5 (merger phase), when the existing Ethereum chain consensus will be integrated into Eth2, and the current client team is working on it, which will continue as usual.
