Aave has launched a "credit consign" feature that allows users to make P2P loans

The two parties involved in P2P lending must sign a formal legal agreement

Aave recently launched a new feature called Credit Delegation. The feature allows users to offer P2P loans without formal collateral requirements.

Aave 的首席执行官 Stani Kulechov 在推特上进一步对该功能进行了解释。参与 P2P 借贷的双方必须签订一份正式的法律协议,确定还款时间表、利息和其他必要条件等条款。通过与 OpenLaw(一个创建在区块链上记录的合法合同的项目) 的集成,这些条款可以在链上正式化。 OpenLaw 可以确保贷款的可执行性,就像使用 DocuSign 签署协议一样。

The use of P2P intermediaries allows for circumventing DeFi's inherent restrictions that the protocol cannot recover a borrower's loan outside the blockchain. All lending platforms require more collateral than they can borrow. The intermediaries assume ownership of the borrower's risk of bankruptcy because the agreement gives access to their collateral. The intermediary then collects the loan in other ways. In cases of higher risk, intermediaries also receive higher interest rates from borrowers.

The unsecured lending model helps to integrate DeFi into the mainstream market, which makes lending more flexible. Kulechov says the original purpose of the system is to "simplify the matching of credit authorizers and institutional or corporate borrowers." This restriction seems to come from OpenLaw, which currently applies only to businesses.
