BlockBeats, July 5 -- A new governance proposal initiated two days ago by Dharma, an encrypted lending firm, to update cDAI's interest rate model has so far failed: 133,613 COMP in favor and 538,486 COMP against, making it the first proposal to be rejected by the community.

According to previous reports, Dharma proposed four changes: 1. Increase APY (annual return) from 15% to 25%; 2. 2. Reduce kinK (marginal interest rate) from 90% to 80%; 3. Change the gapPerBlock parameter to raise the interest rate from 2% to 4%. 4. The base rate of each block remains unchanged (the utilization rate when the annual interest rate is 0%).
