BlockBeats news, yesterday's MakerDAO community poll results showed that the majority of community members support the use of trade invoices and music streaming royalties as collateral for stable currency loans.
The new proposal is led by a start-up called Centrifuge, which has developed a protocol that lets users convert real assets into marketable ERC20 tokens. Centrifuge has cooperated with Paperchain and ConsolFreight to coin music stream royalties and trade invoices respectively.
If, after discussion, MakerDao decides to add these two new types of collateral, this could be the first use case for a "real world" asset to be used as collateral. Tokens introduced by the Paperchain and ConsolFreight will also be the first type of unencrypted collateral. The new vote also shows community support for adding 0X's ZRX token, MANA token, tBTC and Uniswap's Dai Liquidity token to mortgage assets.

Note: The poll results do not mean that Final Maker will immediately add new collateral. The poll results will prompt the closing team to begin a deeper evaluation. It may take months to assess whether new assets are added.
