BlockBeats, according to Crypto Briefing, the pyramid scheme "EOS ecology", which was disguised as a cryptocurrency wallet project, has crashed and run, with around 200,000 EOS in the "wallet" unable to be withdrawn.
Reports say the program is being challenged as a ponzi scheme, with users unable to withdraw a total of $50 million. The wallet app promises high returns for EOS investors and falsely claims to have ties to Starteos, one of EOS's largest and most trusted block producers. Starteos has denied the rumors, saying it has no connection to the project.
It is understood that users reported on Monday that they were unable to access their money and that the total number of EOS in the wallet was close to 200,000. The data showed that funds tied to EOS Ecology were mainly transferred to accounts called "hhuobidevice1", "huobidevice2", "huobidevice3" and "huobidevice5", all created by "coldlaregist". The total amount of EOS tokens for all related accounts is $50949,954.35, with most of the funds stored on huobidevice3 and huobidevice5.
