Tezos foundation has partnered with the Swiss bitcoin association to launch tzBTC, a token that anchors BTC

BlockBeats news, a group of swiss-based cryptographic companies have launched tzBTC, a bitcoin backed 1:1 token on the Tezos blockchain. According to the Bitcoin Association Switzerland, tzBTC allows holders to interact with Tezos's smart contracts and anchor the value of Bitcoin. The tzBTC system has two aspects -- "Keyholders" and "Gatekeepers." the Keyholders are custodians and include four companies -- Swiss Crypto Tokens, blockchain service Inacta, hosting infrastructure company Taurus, and LEXR, an encryption legal service company.
