Bain Capital Ventures and Ripple Xpring invested $1 million in Robot Ventures, an "unconventional" fund that provided early-stage funding.

According to The Block on April 11reports, Bain Capital Ventures and Ripple Xpring invested $1 million in Robot Ventures, an "unconventional" fund that provided early-stage funding.

Robot Ventures specializes in seed funding and product strategy for young cryptocurrency entrepreneurs. Robert Leshner, founder of Robot Venture, is also the CEO of Compound, a coin-lending platform.

Leshner believes he created the first "scout program" in cryptocurrency investing. Scout program refers to the fact that some investment institutions do not want to participate in the investment and development of some start-ups in the name of the company. Instead of investing in some early projects, they will develop the founders as the eyes and investors.

Unlike traditional angel funds. Robot Ventures' foundation provides very little funding for start-ups, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. But with that comes the prospect of more influential investors in the fund in the future. Of course, Mr. Leshner also had to tell investors which cryptocurrency startups he had chosen to invest in.

So far, Robot Ventures has invested in two startups: Coinmine, a startup working on a home-based cryptocurrency miner, and Point, a new debit-card joint bank account project.
