Genesis: Q2 originated more than $40 billion in new loans, down 9% sequentially
Cryptocurrency lender Genesis, part of Digital Currency Group, said on August 10 that it originated more than $40 billion in new loans in the second quarter, down 9% from the previous three months.
The company had $4.9 billion in active loans at the end of June and said it had spot trading volume of more than $17 billion in the second quarter. Meanwhile, active loans outstanding fell 66% to $4.9 billion from $14.6 billion in the first quarter.
