South Korea's Ministry of Finance Holds Semiconductor Expert Symposium: AI Demand Shows No Sign of Shrinking, Medium- to Long-Term Growth Remains Valid

BlockBeats news, November 6 - According to Yonhap News Agency, against the backdrop of concerns over AI data center regulation coming to the fore and causing stock market turbulence after the U.S. midterm elections, South Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance held a discussion with semiconductor experts to review related industry trends and future demand prospects.

Participants comprehensively assessed that, considering factors such as the progress of large-scale investments by major AI companies and their future plans, as well as the expansion of semiconductor demand driven by the popularization of agentic AI, the medium- to long-term growth expectations for the AI and semiconductor industries remain valid. They judged that, despite some concerns in financial markets, no obvious signals have yet been monitored that would lead to a contraction in AI investment or semiconductor demand.

In addition, considering factors such as the expansion of long-term supply contracts by South Korean semiconductor companies, the demand base is expected to remain stable in the short term.
