South Korea's Ministry of Unification: No discussions yet on imposing sanctions over North Korea's alleged theft of over $6 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance.

BlockBeats news, November 5 - According to Yonhap News Agency, an official from South Korea's Ministry of Unification said on November 5 that the government has not yet begun discussions on whether to impose sanctions over North Korea's alleged theft of Binance cryptocurrency. Currently, the South Korean government has not fully grasped the specific circumstances of this hacking incident, and related response discussions have not yet been initiated.

Previously, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified North Korea as responsible for stealing over $6 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency trading platform. Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, denied the allegations earlier this week, calling them a "serious political provocation" against North Korea. The South Korean Ministry of Unification official stated that information still needs to be further shared and discussions need to be conducted within the government.
