Morgan Stanley becomes one of the first banks to adopt DTCC's tokenization service.

BlockBeats news, November 4 - Morgan Stanley announced in a statement that following the launch of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC)'s tokenization service (DTS), the bank has become one of the first banks to tokenize real-world assets (RWA) through this service, having converted some US equities and US Treasuries into tokenized form.

DTS was launched on October 28 by the Depository Trust Company (DTC), a subsidiary of DTCC, and can generate corresponding tokens for securities custodied by DTC, aiming to improve asset liquidity, facilitate collateral transfer, and enhance capital efficiency.

DTCC turns custodied securities into on-chain equity replicas; $30 trillion is the optional scope, not the on-chain scale.
In response to market accusations, DTCC has also issued a relevant response and added BlackRock's "IBTC" to the qualified file in August, which is a standard practice.
