ZachXBT: Suspected EU Agency Breach Losses Rise to $133 Million, Attacker Continues Cross-Chain Fund Transfers

BlockBeats news, November 3 - ZachXBT updated the investigation, revealing that the European institution previously suspected of being hacked has been found to have over $27 million in abnormal withdrawals from centralized exchanges (CEX), bringing the total amount of funds involved in the incident to over $133 million. Some of the exchange withdrawals occurred after the incident was first disclosed.

The investigator proposed a speculation yet to be confirmed: the incident may involve a large financial institution in Western Europe being attacked, and the situation may currently be covered up. He also stated that due to the lack of proper incident disclosure, over $30 million has been transferred and laundered, whereas EU law enforcement agencies might have had the opportunity to freeze these funds.
