BlockBeats news, October 29 — According to Axios citing U.S., Israeli, and regional sources, Qatar and other countries are pushing Iran to allow UN inspections of its attacked nuclear facilities in exchange for the U.S. partially easing sanctions, permitting oil sales, and releasing some frozen funds.
Regional sources say Iran will seek approval from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei for the relevant plan. U.S. and Israeli officials say that if negotiations fail, the U.S. and Israel may launch a week-long large-scale strike on Iran's leadership, energy, nuclear facilities, and infrastructure after the U.S. midterm elections; Israeli military Chief of Staff Zamir already coordinated potential operations with U.S. Central Command Commander Cooper on Monday. Trump previously said the U.S. and Iran are negotiating through intermediaries, but whether an agreement can be reached remains uncertain.
