Beating AI News Flash: AI prediction company ProphetLab (Weiran Turing) has secured tens of millions of RMB in angel round funding, with participation from Ivy Capital and other institutions. Founded less than four months ago, founder Henry Jiang stated that the team's Prophet Engine correctly predicted this year's World Cup semifinalists and champion, even accurately forecasting the 1:0 scoreline in the final where Spain defeated Argentina.
Prophet Engine also participated in the FutureX prediction benchmark. This leaderboard, launched by researchers from ByteDance Seed and other institutions, releases a batch of real events that have not yet occurred each week, requiring models to submit predictions in advance and scoring them after the results are revealed. Henry disclosed that Prophet Engine topped the weekly leaderboard for two consecutive weeks in August this year, with scores of 60.45 and 56.05, respectively.
ProphetLab aims to apply the same predictive capabilities to financial and business decision-making. The company says it has already secured millions of RMB in commercial orders and is preparing the Investor's Last Exam (ILE) benchmark specifically designed to evaluate business forecasting capabilities.
