BlockBeats news, October 26 - CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr posted that the average cost of BTC held for less than 6 months is approximately $76,000, and the current price is about 5.9% higher than this cost.
Over the past week, the unrealized profit margin for this group narrowed from 8.7% to 5.9%, while BTC price fell by about $1,000 during the same period, and their average holding cost rose by about $1,100. Data shows that the average cost of BTC held for less than 6 months is about 1.56 times the average cost of BTC held for more than 6 months, at $76,000 and $48,600 respectively. This ratio rose from 1.54 to 1.56, mainly driven by the increase in the average cost of short-term holders, while the average cost of long-term holders remained basically unchanged.
Axel Adler Jr pointed out that if BTC falls below $76,000, this portion of BTC bought over the past 6 months will collectively turn into unrealized losses. The last time this situation occurred was in mid-August this year. It should be noted that average cost does not mean that all recent buyers are in profit; some investors who bought at higher prices may still face losses.
