Stock tokenization faces a trust crisis as a nonprofit organization publishes a full-page ad in the WSJ, calling on CEOs to pay attention to related risks.

BlockBeats news, October 26: The Wall Street Journal has published full-page paid advertisements over the past two days under the theme "YOUR STOCK. THEIR TOKENS. YOUR PROBLEM." ("CEOs of public companies, take note: Your stock, their tokens, your problem"), alerting the public to the risks of stock tokenization.

The advertisement was funded by the American conservative nonprofit Common Sense Leadership Fund, aimed at warning that the crypto industry will tokenize company shares in "unregulated venues," and lists eight major risks including pricing deviations, ambiguous ownership, impaired capital raising, cyber theft, market manipulation, AML vulnerabilities, lack of investor protection, and potential legal liability.

Previously reported, a total of 22 companies including giants such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, McDonald's, and Alphabet have raised objections. The document outlines the relevant rules of the OKX and ICE collaboration project and lists the companies that raised objections, but does not specify the exact reasons for their objections.
