BlockBeats news, October 22: Gemini co-founders Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss said in an interview that Bitcoin is a public, auditable blockchain where anyone can see transaction records; however, its public nature makes it unsuitable for privacy needs. Zcash, by contrast, is used for private transactions/payments, so the two can coexist. Ideally, privacy should be built into Bitcoin, but the current practical model is "Bitcoin for storage + Zcash for transactions." Bitcoin remains important, but public chains carry greater privacy exposure risk in the face of AI.
The Winklevoss brothers stated that Zcash completes the privacy features Bitcoin lacks and is "encrypted Bitcoin." ZEC's privacy value has not yet been fully reflected; if it reaches 10% of Bitcoin's market cap, ZEC could rise 5x, easily exceeding $5,000. Therefore, they are bullish on ZEC's price performance over the next 5-10 years, especially as privacy demand rises. "Zcash is a financial privacy protection tool for the AI era, an antidote against AI-driven surveillance and tyranny. Anyone bullish on AI (or quantum), even if they don't realize it, should be bullish on Zcash. It is the AI hedge or quantum hedge in cryptocurrency."
