Beating AI News Flash: Kuaishou's Kling AI fully opened Kling 4.0 on October 15. Previously, Kling 4.0 Flash was made available to some paid users for trial in late September.
Compared to 3.0, the new model extends single video generation duration from 15 seconds to 30 seconds, and also supports up to 10 keyframes, allowing creators to specify character actions, scene changes, and camera pacing.
The all-purpose reference feature has also been upgraded, supporting the combination of up to 15 assets at once, including images, videos, and character subjects. Creators can have the AI reference the camera movement and actions of existing videos, then replace the characters, products, or backgrounds within them.
Kazike's hands-on test showed that generating a 30-second 1080P video requires 450 credits, which converts to about 16 yuan based on membership pricing, excluding the cost of repeated generations.
Kling also upgraded its creation page, adding timeline, canvas, and Agent features, and supports calling Kling 4.0 through MCP and CLI, allowing AI Agents to automatically generate videos and mass-produce assets.
However, 4K output is not being added for the first time, as 3.0 already supported it. The truly new 10-bit HDR output is still not available, and the maximum 2-minute video extension and the Kling 4.0 API for developers have also not yet launched.
