BlockBeats news, October 15: StandX co-founder AG posted that StandX has decided not to proceed with the token generation event (TGE). He said that without external VC funding, the project's TVL once peaked at $200 million, but the team ultimately failed to achieve its goal of becoming a top-three perpetual contract DEX.
AG stated that although a token issuance could still be pursued based on current fundamentals, if the token launch were driven mainly by short-term speculation and unable to provide sustainable long-term value, users and the community would ultimately bear the cost, which is both irresponsible and contrary to his personal values. Most of the project's previous revenue had already been returned to users through SIP-2 and SIP-3 subsidies; for this airdrop, in addition to using the remaining project treasury funds, he will also contribute personal funds to give back to the community as much as possible.
AG also emphasized that all user funds are safe, and DUSD is backed by sufficient assets. StandX will wind down operations in an orderly manner and announce specific arrangements for fund withdrawals, the airdrop, and service termination.
