BlockBeats news, October 14: Strategy co-founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor said in an interview that Bitcoin has bottomed out and rebounded, and is expected to break through $100,000 again. He believes Bitcoin previously bottomed slightly below $60,000, has now recovered to the $80,000 range, and is expected to continue rising.
Saylor said that an improved regulatory environment and banks' accelerating adoption of Bitcoin are driving the market into a new bull run. He expects Bitcoin's long-term annualized gains to reach 20% to 30% over the next few years, and Strategy may also increase its Bitcoin purchases during the bull market and issue more securities to fund additional purchases.
In addition, regarding MSCI's consideration of adjusting index rules that could exclude companies whose main business is accumulating assets from global equity indexes, Saylor expressed opposition, arguing that such a move could set an unfavorable precedent for the digital asset industry. MSCI is expected to announce its decision this Friday. Last November, JPMorgan estimated that if Strategy were removed, it could face a risk of up to $2.8 billion in fund outflows.
