Papertrade's launch is riddled with flaws, as smart money predicts its token issuance and opening market cap range.

According to monitoring by PolyBeats, Papertrade, the HyperEVM perpetual contract trading platform that launched yesterday, has quickly exposed multiple risks in pricing, redemption, and permission controls, beyond its high leverage and massive notional trading volume.

On the prediction market Polymarket, smart money gydmasg has made predictions on markets related to Papertrade:

gydmasg bought $3,500 "Yes" on "Will Papertrade issue a token this year?", with a buy probability of 72.89%. With 90%+ as late-stage trades, its open trades without stop-loss/take-profit in the token issuance sector total 19, with a win rate of 74%, net profit of $3,000, and this investment is 6.98 times its median investment.

gydmasg bought $1,380 "Yes" on "Will Papertrade's FDV be greater than $100 million on its first day of trading?", with a buy probability of 49.98%. With 90%+ as late-stage trades, its open trades without stop-loss/take-profit in the FDV sector total 26, with a win rate of 69%, net profit of $2,100, and this investment is 3.88 times its median investment.

Within less than 10 minutes of Papertrade's launch, notional trading volume reached approximately $144 billion, and 24-hour notional trading volume exceeded $678 billion; the project team admitted that to accommodate launch demand, the initial position-opening limit was set relatively loose, and subsequently tightened limits at the on-chain and relayer levels; however, specific wallet behavior and profit attribution remain on-chain analysis conclusions, rather than a complete audit report.

Papertrade has not stated a "token issuance day" in the traditional sense. The token PAPER has been minted since trading went live on October 10, but it cannot currently be freely transferred. Its design is: the initial token supply is zero, with no pre-mine, no team allocation, no VC allocation, and no airdrop. The only source is trading losses or liquidations. When the pool is below $2 million, 100 PAPER are minted for every $1 lost, after which it declines along a curve.

There are no official figures for valuation. Sumcap published a tokenomics analysis on October 8, using discounted cash flow to back-calculate: under different loss flows and staking ratios, the implied price is approximately between $0.07-$0.37.
