Doubao adds utility bill payments, is the prototype of a super app already emerging?

Beating AI News Flash: Doubao App adds "Life Payment" feature. When users say "pay electricity bill" or "pay water bill" in the chat box, Doubao will pop up a service card, and clicking it will take them to the payment page for water, electricity, and gas bills. No need to go to other apps to find payment entry points.

However, it is not yet available in all places. Even if the city has already enabled it, users still need to bind their account number, confirm, and pay. They cannot simply say one sentence and have the payment automatically deducted.

A person close to Doubao told The Paper that Doubao is gradually adding service capabilities such as travel and life payments. Previously, Doubao had already integrated services for flight tickets, train tickets, and ride-hailing.
