Beating AI News Flash: The White House has announced a package of scientific research initiatives totaling over $6 billion, covering AI, quantum computing, biological research, and talent development. Funding and resources come from the government, enterprises, universities, and charitable organizations. Among them, 11 tech companies have pledged to provide $2.4 billion worth of AI tools and computing power credits for the Genesis Mission.
Nvidia has pledged $1 billion in resources, AMD $500 million, OpenAI $200 million, and Anthropic and Google $150 million each. These resources will support more than 15 federal agencies in conducting scientific research. The Genesis Mission was launched in 2025 and aims to use AI, supercomputers, and government research data to accelerate research in energy, healthcare, aerospace, and other fields.
Other projects include the previously announced $1.8 billion Virtual Biology Program, as well as a $1 billion investment in research computing power and talent development pledged by the Georgia state government, enterprises, and universities.
