Netflix releases first trailer for FTX founder SBF-related series 'The Altruists'

BlockBeats news, October 8: Netflix has released the first trailer for "The Altruists," a series related to FTX founder SBF.

"The Altruists" is inspired by the rise and fall of SBF and former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, and will premiere on November 19. The series consists of 8 episodes, with Anthony Boyle playing SBF and Julia Garner playing Caroline Ellison. In its synopsis, Netflix says the series tells the story of two young idealists attempting to rapidly reshape the global financial system, who are subsequently accused of stealing $8 billion and ultimately fall from the pinnacle of financial power. "The Altruists" was created by Graham Moore, inspired by related articles by New York Magazine journalists Kevin T. Dugan and Jen Wieczner. Barack Obama and Michelle Obama also serve as executive producers of the series.
