动察 Beating AI news flash: Anthropic has started adding a Chinese interface to Claude. The language menus on the web version and desktop app now show "Chinese (Simplified)" and "Chinese (Traditional)," and some accounts even see Chinese directly after opening Claude.
What has been added here is the localization of product interfaces such as menus, settings, and buttons. Claude could already be used to converse directly in Chinese, but there had never been an official Chinese interface, so Chinese users usually had to use an interface in another language or browser translation.
Anthropic has not yet officially announced this update. The official language settings description still lists only 11 interface languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean, with no Chinese.
A Chinese interface also does not mean that Claude is open to mainland China. Anthropic's current supported regions still do not include mainland China, while regions such as Singapore and Taiwan already support Claude.
