Micron Technology: Capital expenditure for the first half of fiscal year 2027 is approximately $25 billion, and will be higher in the second half.

BlockBeats news, October 1: Micron Technology (MU.O) expects capital expenditures of approximately $25 billion in the first half of fiscal year 2027, with higher spending in the second half, and most of the incremental amount will be used for new wafer fab construction (building expenditures) rather than单纯的 equipment procurement. Micron CFO Mark Murphy explained that this is entirely because long-term contracts provide sufficient demand visibility, and building greenfield factories requires extremely long lead times.
