Dogecoin Layer 2 application network DogeOS launches public testnet, supporting DeFi, gaming, and other applications.

BlockBeats news, October 1st, DogeOS announced the launch of its public testnet for the application layer based on Dogecoin.

DogeOS is an EVM-compatible application layer network designed to enable developers to build applications on the Dogecoin ecosystem. Testnet transaction fees are paid in DOGE, and projects such as lending protocols, perpetual contract trading platforms, stablecoins, and prediction market aggregators have already integrated.

DogeOS was initiated by the MyDoge wallet team, adopts zkVM technology, and operates as an independent Layer without changing the Dogecoin base layer. The official mainnet launch time has not yet been announced.
