Vitalik releases original novel "Snowmoon," open-sourced under GPL v3.

BlockBeats news, September 27: Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin announced today that his original novel "Snowmoon" has been completed, consisting of 32 chapters.

The novel unfolds in a speculative science fiction setting, depicting a world highly dependent on cryptography and decentralized governance. The story focuses on ideological conflicts between societies such as Veridia and the Arctic Empire, involving elements like zero-knowledge proofs, quadratic voting, privacy technologies, and content-oriented taxation mechanisms, incorporating themes of mechanism design and digital sovereignty that V God has long focused on.

The work is released under the GPL v3 license. V God stated that adaptations into films, animations, and other derivative works are allowed, but requires open-sourcing the related production pipeline (including AI prompts, scripts, and other non-general materials). He declared that all text was written by himself, with AI assistance used only for spelling and grammar checks, consistency verification of settings, and web formatting, and added the note "Snowmoon was written with love."
