Meta's market value approaches $2 trillion, Muse drives stock to best monthly performance in 13 years.

BlockBeats news, September 25 — Meta Platforms (META) shares have risen 36% so far in September, on track for their best monthly performance since July 2013 and approaching the $2 trillion market capitalization threshold. The market rally has been mainly driven by positive reactions after Meta launched its personal AI assistant Muse, with investors believing AI products could bring new growth opportunities and ease previous concerns about the company's returns on large-scale AI investment. Earlier this year, Meta's stock came under pressure due to high AI spending, legal risks facing its social media business, and weak revenue expectations, at one point falling 18% from the start of the year. But as the company resolved some litigation pressure and released AI products such as Muse, Meta's stock has risen about 43% since its August low.

Meta is expanding its AI product lineup, including launching a device for carrying Muse on the go, as well as a camera-free version of its smart glasses. The company expects capital expenditure to approach $140 billion in 2026, rising further to $197 billion and $215 billion in 2027 and 2028. The market remains focused on whether Meta can generate sufficient returns through its AI business. Analysts currently expect Meta's 2026 revenue to grow 26% to $254 billion, with net profit rising 33% to $80.6 billion.
