Security Alert: Meter Passport on BNB Chain Suffers Attack, Approximately $2.3 Million Worth of wMTRG Minted

BlockBeats news, September 24, according to Blockaid monitoring, Meter.io's Meter Passport on BNB Chain is under attack. The attacker has minted a large amount of uncollateralized wrapped tokens wMTRG through the cross-chain channel and has sold some of the tokens on PancakeSwap. Currently, the attacker has minted wMTRG worth approximately $2.3 million through about two transactions, and the attack is still ongoing.
