OpenRouter launches new anonymous model Space Bunny, multiple fingerprints point to MiniMax M3.1

Beating AI News Flash: OpenRouter and OpenCode have launched the anonymous model Space Bunny Alpha. It focuses on high-speed inference, supports adjustable reasoning intensity, a 1 million token context, and text, image, and video inputs. OpenRouter is currently free, while OpenCode has announced it will be free for a limited time of one week.

The community quickly pointed it to the yet-to-be-released MiniMax M3.1. Multiple developers used tokenizers, anomalous tokens, and error behaviors to conduct model "fingerprint" tests, and the results all showed it is highly similar to MiniMax models.

MiniMax's officially open-sourced MiniMax Code repository has also already shown MiniMax-M3.1 in advance. The test code includes a 1 million token context, as well as low, high, and max multiple levels of reasoning intensity, highly overlapping with the features announced by Space Bunny. Currently, MiniMax has not yet confirmed Space Bunny's true identity.
