Kimi Code Desktop Launches: Browser, Terminal, and Multi-Agent Packed into One Window

Beating AI News Flash: Moonshot AI has officially launched Kimi Code Desktop, turning the previously terminal-oriented Kimi Code into a standalone desktop application. Users can directly open local projects and let the Agent read and write code, run commands, and view Git changes. It currently supports macOS and Windows.

The desktop version comes with a built-in browser and terminal. When building web pages, the Agent can read page information from the webpage on the right, and users can also directly click to select elements, box out areas, or take screenshots with annotations to tell it exactly what needs to be changed. There is no need to switch windows when modifying code, checking webpage results, or running tests.

It also supports three task modes: Plan, Goal, and Swarm. Swarm can break tasks down and distribute them to multiple sub-Agents for parallel processing, and long tasks can continue running in the background. In addition to Kimi's own models, users can also enter their own API Key and Base URL to connect to other model providers.
