BlockBeats news, September 17: Former X Product Lead Nikita Bier commented on the UsePaid project, stating it is a creative use of X Money that can convert attention into income for X users, but suggested adding an opt-out or unlink feature. He pointed out that without an opt-out option, traders might harass users to force token links, leading to a flood of spam in the reply sections.
X Money is X's digital payment system. Users can transfer funds, receive payments, top up, and view transaction records and rewards within the app. It also offers balance yields, cashback, and virtual/physical debit card services, and has obtained licenses in over 40 U.S. states.
UsePaid is a tool for automatic fee splitting for token creators: project teams can import creator fees generated by meme coins into UsePaid, where 80% is converted to USD and paid to designated X users via X Money, and 20% is used to buy back and burn PAID. As of press time, the PAID token is temporarily reported at $21.58 million, with a trading volume of $40.8 million.
