After FOMC, Goldman Sachs once again increases its expectations for Fed rate hikes.

BlockBeats news, September 17 - Goldman Sachs analysts, following the Federal Reserve's decision to hike interest rates, stated that they now anticipate a second 25 basis point rate increase in October, whereas previously they had expected September to be the only hike.

"This meeting was more hawkish than we anticipated in several ways. Firstly, the 16-2 vote demonstrated that most members expect at least one more rate hike this year, with no dissenting votes against today's increase. Secondly, the median federal funds rate projection remains at a considerably high level through 2029, with the median neutral rate dot rising from 3.06% to 3.25%. Thirdly, Chairman Powell characterized this rate hike three times as 'removing a dose of accommodation'."
